New Kit for LGBTQ+ Camden Bells FC

CHECK OUT THE NEW KIT FOR LGBTQ+ CAMDEN BELLS FC

At My Club, we’re proud of the clubs we support. From the struggles LGBTQ+ football team, Camden Bells FC went through at the beginning of their inspiring journey. We are proud to have supplied their first kit for them.

HOW CAMDEN BELLS FC STARTED

I officially kicked things off in November 2021 and since then Camden Bells FC has flourished into a fully established, inclusive football team. We wanted to create an active, safe space for us to feel as elevated; all while learning new skills without any pressure and judgement. Many of the team were strangers when they started and now, we are a close-knit group of friends made up of women, queer women, trans non-binary people and gender non-confirming folk.

LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY

It’s a real community and it’s so uplifting to see everyone coming together each week. I believe every individual gets something out of the sessions – whether that’s blowing off steam after a stressful day at the office or leaving with their head held high because they’ve mastered a step-over.

CHALLENGES FACED BY LGBTQ+ PLAYERS

As a cis-woman I can’t speak for the trans community about the challenges they face, but as an ally, I can tell you that the system is not built to support trans non-binary players; and it’s appalling, this is grassroots football. People simply want to play for pleasure, but the unnecessary regulations add ridiculous amounts of red tape which make it harder for trans non-binary people to play freely.

BOYCOTTING SUPER5LEAGUE

Sadly, early this year, Camden Bells had to question Super 5 Leagues commitment to inclusion when they challenged the eligibility of one of their players. The league promotes itself as an environment "where women and non-binary people of all levels are welcome". In a statement issued on Instagram, Camden Bells said a Super 5 official told the team that due to concerns for the welfare of any future opponents, the player - who identifies as trans non-binary - should not be allowed to play in a "women's league".

CAMDEN BELLS SAID

"We were appalled by this conversation as this league claims to be an inclusive space - with 'LGBTQIA+ & non-binary friendly' plastered across their marketing materials." Thankfully, they have now found a new league to join, ‘Clubs United’. It is an inclusive league for women, queer women, trans people, non-binary and gender non-confirming individuals.

New Kit for Fighting Mongooses- HADO

FIGHTING MONGOOSES AND HADO

Fighting Mongooses are a team that play HADO. HADO is Augmented Reality crossed with Sports to create a unique Techno Sport. It was created 5 years ago in Tokyo, it is now played in 38 countries. With UK Championship, European Championship and World Cup. Rather than trying to separate people from technology in order to get them to play sports, HADO is a new evolution of sport that has merged with technology. The UK HADO Arena offers a fun & safe environment to explore this incredible sport.

WHAT IS HADO

As an Augmented Reality (AR) sport, HADO puts the power of energy balls and shields in the hands of players on a real-life court. While the rules are simple, the depth of offensive and defensive strategy is infinite. HADO redefines the landscape of sports to push athletes farther than anyone ever thought possible.

HADO RULES

HADO is a team sport played with up to three people on each team.
Each game lasts 80 seconds. The team with the most points at the buzzer wins.
If a match ends in a draw, teams compete in overtime. The first team to score wins.

HADO is a sport that let's players strap on head-mounted displays and armband sensors to wield energy balls and shields on a real-world court as if by magic.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AUGMENTED REALITY AND VIRTUAL REALITY

Augmented Reality (AR) brings digital elements into your world and Virtual Reality (VR) takes you into the digital world.
